What We Do Different:
People often wonder why one quote received is different from another and why our wells cost slightly more than others. They sometimes think all wells are created equally, but they are not. EPDC does not take any short cuts to save time and we only use the best products available. Here is what we do differently:
Every residential well is grouted to the new regulations as per Alberta Environment
We only install PVC, stainless steel, or brass components
We don’t use a snappy pitless adaptor; we use the Maass adaptor where the water is only in contact with brass or stainless steel
All wells are completed with a sanitary well seal, not just a cap or a vermin-proof cap
All electricity enters the well through approved NMWU Burry wire, certified junction box, and steel conduit below the ground level
All casings are left 24” above ground level
All exposed PVC casings are protected with a steel sleeve, 6’ below the ground surface, to protect the well from UV light, lawn tractors, and sport utility vehicles
All wells are painted for aesthetics and visibility
We conduct a 2-hour drawdown and recovery pump test as per the Water Act
Only machine slotted liners are used, not saw cut with a skil saw
We only use buried wire underground, not pump cable which is not intended for well usage underground
